Where to Find Help

If you are in an abusive relationship, make plans to leave.  Abusive hotlines are found in the front of the phone book.  Each county or providence has its own state run mental health center.  The police department have resources available.  These numbers are listed in the government section of the phone book.

It is difficult to leave an abusive relationship.  Some of us stay for different reasons: finances, children, fear of being alone and most of all hoping our partner will change.  It must be the choice of the abuser to change.  The only person you can change is yourself.  Even though we are in an abusive relationship, sometimes we are able to see the good side of the abuser.
